Today she came home and told me she didn't feel good...no she wasn't sick or anything just really tired for some reason - the same thing happened last year. She felt dizzy and all that. I tell her she should see a doctor, but so far she hasn't. She's okay now, but she told me most likely she'll get a heart attack in the future :( I'm so worried about her. She wasn't this way until today! :(

I don't think there is much you can do.

Perhaps chat to your dad about your concerns and ask him to speak to her. Maybe she will go to the doctor if he asks her to?

Some people you just can't talk to about "medical things", especially when it comes on advisisng them to go see a doctor.

I should know, I'm one on a very long line of people who's rather die in their own reeking piss & shit than to go get a check-up, ESPECIALLY when they themselves are actually concerned.

Maybe just have a heart to heart with her. Tell her how you feel.

Then again, you maybe overracting, worrying a bit too much, it was only 2 occasions, right?

While it might be nothing serious or life threatening, sometimes its better to go to the doctor and get that confirmed.

You should tell your mother though:

Women may have all, none, many or a few of the typical heart attack symptoms. For women, the most common heart attack symptom is still some type of pain, pressure or discomfort in the chest. But women are more likely than are men to also have heart attack symptoms without chest pain, such as:

  • Neck, jaw, shoulder, upper back or abdominal discomfort
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Abdominal pain or "heartburn"
  • Sweating
  • Lightheadedness or dizziness
  • Unusual or unexplained fatigue
Most of these are common annoyances for women, but I'd play it safe if it was me feeling that way for no explainable reason.

maybe I am, but it just happened at 2 random times, otherwise she's fine. I Hope I am.

Gotcha. I'll keep an eye out for those

Talk to your dad maybe he can talk her into going to the doctor.

:thumbup I'll do that

How old is your mom? If she's come home really tired only 2 times in the last year, more power to her I say.

48. she turned 48 this month.

I think it is wise to tell your Dad, because there isn't a lot you can do, your heart is in the right place to be concerned about your mum/mom
