hehe....okay, good timing!

I have an iPod that I got 1 1/2 years ago; 2 weeks ago I finally opened the package. I can't believe how frickin' simple it is, dude!

I opened iTunes, created a user name and password and started buying songs. When I plug my iPod into the USB port in the front of my computer, iTunes opens automatically. I start looking for songs in their search box; the song comes up, I can listen to a 30 second preview, then click the buy button.

After the song downloads, I just drag it to the iPod icon pictured on the left-hand side of the iTunes screen and the song syncs to the iPod and viola, it's there, in probably less than a minute. Amazing!

Well I don't have any of that iTunes crap. I have a regular MP3 player, so I can just use Windows Media Player to sync songs to my MP3 player, but I'm adding stuff to this iPod because I'm bored, and I've tried using WMP to sync, and just sending straight to the iPod from the music folder, none of that works.

Why do they make you go through all this crap to add songs? xD

You have to use iTunes or Anapod Explorer (a piece of software you have to pay for, but integrates iPod access in to Windows Explorer). The iPod uses a proprietary storage scheme that Windows and WMP don't understand.

So that's what I've been doing wrong :)

there is no other way, ipod only works with iTune, that's the only defect it has. The rest is awesome.

Actually, you can also use Anapod Explorer:

Anapod Explorer.

Though, I don't think Anapod supports iTunes DRM protected m4p's (the music you buy from iTunes). It only supports the transfer of raw MP3's to your iPod. It does integrate nicely in to Windows Explorer though.

Yah, sorry about that. Apparently the boards use the title of the web page if you don't provide a title, and I didn't realize the title was that long. It's fixed.
