I'm losing it.

From day one this kid wouldn't take a pacifier... we could try... but I doubt it.

I think the Oragel and his rough teething ring or frozen wash cloth will work.

My Eldest was like that would take a pacifier. Hope the cloth or oagel works though teething is a shocking time. :(

Ooooh you could put something you know he will put in his mouth in the freezer LOL like a toy or something

We used a cold wash rag, both of my kid's loved it. And word to the wise....Getting them off the pacifier is like detoxing someone from heroin...If you can avoid it, I say....Never let them know the all powerful "binkie" exists.

you could always do like my mom. grandma told her to use some moonshine. not knowing that she meant rub it on my gums, mom gave me some to drink.

it has been downhill ever since

Makani has been teething hard core too.
I would take a clean, baby, wash rag, wet it and stick it in the freezer. Then I allow him to chew on it with supervision. The rag is pliable enough that he can manipulate it into his mouth and get a good chew going on.
He has the teething rings and teething mesh pop thingies too, but with his CP he lacks the motor skills to really get those into proper chewing position. So for him the rags work great! I keep a few in the fridge at all times and rotate them out.

I have also purchased those Gerber teeting biscuits. They're hard as a rock so he can really chaw on them and they sort of melt, they're really messy though, because cookies don't exactly 'melt' they more like turn to mush.
Anyway, I still only will allow him to have them with supervision, As anything is a potential choke hazard and I don't like to trust the package labels when they claim they're totally safe.

I wouldn't put any drug on the gums. Some drugs break down tissue, such as your gums. And a lot of drugs can cause tooth decay. I am very leary about using any drug on my baby unless the pediatrician prescribed it.

Over the counter products aren't all that reliable with their dosage. (As seen with the whole baby decongestant recall)
Even tylenol can be dangerous.
The dosage should go by weight, And all babies weight varies. So I would assume that there isn't a safe recommended dosage that can be arbitrarily slapped upon a label and go with what the Doc says. Sadly, the drug companies care more about making a buck than they do about whether or not their recommended dosage is in fact safe and accurate.

Oh yeah! I nearly forgot about these, If you can find them now since it's sort of off season, Those freezie pops that you buy in bulk and they're liquid like kool aid in a narrow plastic tube.
Mak loved those things. Again, I would only let him have it when I was right there with him,,, just in case. And I would hold it for him. But even if he broke or bit a chunk off, it would melt so fast that they weren't that much of a choke hazard. I still worried about him aspirating it though. So I stayed with him the whole time.

This also helped me out a lot! Don't know why I didn't think about it earlier....
At your local drug store you should be able to find some baby formula, fluoride free toothpaste in the baby section, Look for the kit that comes with a little rubber finger tip style tooth brush. You put that on your finger, and I didn't even use the toothpaste, Just wet the rubber brush and rubbed his gums with that, He loves it so much he now will open his mouth and allow me to give him a good brushing. I still go over his gums in the back pretty thoroughly as he's still teething! (molars now) Poor little guys, they sure do go through it just getting some choppers.
