i'm a zombie

I remember when I worked graveyard shifts. I would come home at 8am, and pass Elle on her way out the door to her job. I would then have to stay up untill she got home with the little fella. I was always so tired.

But yeah, it's a hassle for sure. But rewarding in the end.

Meh.. they'll just throw us in a retirement home :(

At the end of the day when you put them to bed and they give you kisses & cuddles and tell you they love you. Makes it all worth while :)

+1 Pudding. That unconditional love makes up for A LOT!!!

But Logan can't do that (speak) just yet. Try this: alternate nights, that way, if you're up one night, you know for a fact that the next night you'll be hitting the hay around normal time and getting 8-10 while Tim is up with Logan. Remove yourself from where they will be sleeping so your 8-10 is solid.

We did that with our second (our first was a good sleeper) and do it now when someone is sick and it works GREAT! Just a thought.

I work ten hour days, so on the days I work, I don't see Riley except for maybe an hour of quality time before he gets tired and cranky. The hugs and kisses are the best part of my day. And I spend alot of time watching him sleep, even at 2 years old.

Back on topic, though. Me time is definitely a good idea. When Riley was younger, every so often my mom would offer to take him for a few hours, and I would catch up on sleep, or bills, or just anything. It's amazing how easily you can relax when you know your "baby schedule" is cleared for the afternoon.
