We were having lunch with my husbands side of his family today and they had their thanksgiving at their church campgrounds and we were all going to go canoeing. It was a nice day today. Me and my husband were pushing our canoe out a little so we could get it and he told me to hop in and go to the front. My retarted butt stepped one foot in and fell flat on my ass in the water! Oh how embarrassing! I jumped up real quick hoping noone would notice. We got out in the lake and the longer we were out there, the more I noticed that my thumb was hurting. And it wasnt letting up. By the time we got done canoeing, my thumb was so swollen. Apparently when I fell, I tried to break my fall and bent my thumb backwards when I hit the ground.
So guess where I spent a couple hrs of my thanksgiving? Thats right! The freakin ER!:mad I broke my damn thumb!:mad

awwww...im sorry...reminds me of last halloween when I spent my night in the ER due to my fiance getting bitten by a brown recluse...at least his injury kind of went with the whole halloween thing..with spiders and all..lol. Hope your thumb gets better! Did they give you any pain meds? or just a cast?

Sorry to hear that, Amy. I have a really sensitive middle finger, if I bump it even a bit, it swells up until I cant move it. Anyways, Happy Thanksgiving!

Ive got it wrapped up and put in a sling right now. They gave me a RX for some Norco. I havent taken any yet. I get to work tonight though Oh joy!

Sorry to here that. And breakfast sureal, a brown recluse??? I've seen what damage they can do, fucking nasty!!!:eek I once spent Christmas day in hospital. I was staying with my mate in Wales, we were down the pub New Years eve and I got started on by a bunch of Welsh Nationalist squadie wankers who took exception to me being English. I ended up with a fractured cheek bone. It was quite funny though because there were a load of big farmer boys in the pub who hate the English too and don't normally even speak to us. Anyway, for some reason they thought the squadies were out of order, jumped up and beat the shit out of them!
