DALLAS — Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades — and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.
The Mexican Consulate's office in Dallas is seeing increasing numbers of Mexican nationals requesting paperwork to go home for good, especially parents who want to know what documentation they'll need to enroll their children in Mexican schools.
"Those numbers have increased percentage-wise tremendously," said Enrique Hubbard, the Mexican consul general in Dallas. "In fact, it's almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years."
The illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has dropped 11 percent since August of last year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Its research shows 1.3 million illegal immigrants have returned to their home countries.
Some say illegal immigrants are leaving because a soft economy has led to fewer jobs, causing many laborers to seek work elsewhere.
Others argue that a tough stance on immigration through law enforcement has spread fear throughout the illegal population.

Why shouldn't they be allowed to just come? Why do they have to fill out all that paperwork and get certified and all that?

There needs to be regulations. Sure, just let them flood across the borders with no paperwork. Let them work and not pay taxes. Let them commit crimes with no possible way to track them down and punish them for doing so. Let them just run rampant. My forefathers had to go through customs and become US citizens. Why should they be any different?

No. Sorry. It's not THAT much of a free country.

Name one news site that is. lol And they are just reporting the statistics not making the survey themselves. lol
As true as that may be, I always take any "news" from Faux News with a pound of salt. Although, I'm sure Lou Dobbs is about the only more unreliable you can get in regards to the immigration issue. God, how I loathe Lou Dobbs. :thumbdown

Faux news lol. I bet you don't even watch the station. The ONLY difference between them and CNN, MSNBC is they lean towards the right. So I guess that makes them liars.
The credibility of a news channel is dependent on your political views, interesting.

I don't watch TV at all, unless there's a good movie on or a good comedy show. I get all my news from the interwebz and various sources. The rest of the time I'm either working out, jogging, reading or spending quality time with my friends. It's a lot better than wasting time sitting in front of the TV.

Ever heard of the internet? ;)
Oh I see. So you never watched the channel but go by what others have said about it never making your own evaluation. They couldn't possibly have a biased view could they? Are you sure they actually watched the channel? Or were they like you and just read or heard fox news was trash? ;)

No, I've watched it before and watched clips on YouTube of them being complete and total assholes. Not to mention The Colbert Report and The Daily Show.
