Re: If You're A Restuarant/Big Box Chain Food Service Joint
Having worked in a restaurant and been responsible for product ordering... i would have told you to fuck off if you were a smart ass over one item not being on the menu.
there are things like food costs and bottom lines that dont always allow to order a surplus of things... add to that you never know when a whole troop of snotscouts will come in demanding the same thing, or when a whole slew of jew folks come in all asking for a single kosher product in mass quantities LOL
I must admit though that as a rule of thumb if you are advertising anything in particular, then you best make sure you have it but as other have mentioned... shit happens, you grunt about it and move on.
In the restaurant Staci and I worked we offered free ice cream with purchase of any meal, the location was in one of the nicer sides of town (Copperfield area here in Houston).
So many yuppy ass parents would essentially bring in the entire subdivision worth of kids, order something for 2 adults and then expect the free ice cream...for all 20 kids that did not order anything. :|
oh and shit if the machine ran out or they had to wait 5-10 minutes for the soft serve to actually freeze they would throw a fit and demand refunds...
customer service is a bitch but man some customers are just... bleh!
