Why state per state and by government are they're more laws in affect than there are days of the year? I'm not talking just typical laws, I'm also including those state by state laws, like no wearing polka dot underwear after 2pm and also food laws.

Spend 1 day in a country with 10% as many and you'll know the answer to your question.

I thought all you yanks knew this?

Freedom is a liberty afforded to all as long as it doesn't infringe on the freedom of another. That's the whole point.

Of course there are some laws that are ridiculous, there are everywhere. But at some point in time they might have been relevant.

i know about this but some dont and take the whole freedom and rights things literally and cry foul over shit like "why cant i yell fire in a theater? that's censorship"

that's why freedoms are limited to the point they dont infringe upon another person's freedoms and rights. some people just dont get that.

oh I know I was just thinking last night about all the STUPID little laws that this nation has. Some aren't even enforced anymore but are still in the books.

Gotcha. Like how it's illegal to tie a giraffe to a telephone poll in Atlanta. :D

When you said food laws, my mind went straight to a place in North Africa where they were cooking pigeons on a stove, and above that stove was an old air conditioner... and the condensation from the unit leaked directly into the pan.

And, yes, I got food poisoning from it. :yuk

So, I was thinking FOOD LAWS ARE GOOD. :willy_nilly:

Find me more than another half a dozen countries that would be as sympathetic of your medical conditions and pay you as much benefit and then maybe you may have a point.:thumbup
