I agree with you on this.

I've said this many times, here goes again. Within the confines of our Earthly existence, within these human bodies and our senses, there is no way we as can detect the true God with a certainty, period, as compared to say a highly advanced alien race. If a big face appeared in the sky and said "I am GOD! Repent your sins or else!!" What would we make of that? How could we discern the truth of it? Oh yeah, the suckers would go for it, but for the rest of us thinkers, it would be impossible. :)
