Number one I don't think mankind needs any help imagining God. We don't need aliens for Jesus and Mohammed to arise among us. Secondly I'd have to ask, what qualifies the entities in the space ship to be Gods?

the masses would not believe them and would instantly start a war with the aliens. i find it ironic because in reality, why or why not will Christians trust that Jesus (if it's real) when he comes back?

There are a lot of alien lovers, trekkies, etc in the USA. I'm sure there would be a lot of fear regarding their intentions. But if they were friendly they might receive a fairly warm welcome. It's hard to predict how fundamentalist groups would react. They would probably either suffer from disillusion or be pushed deeper into denial. I would probably be distrustful of them. I would have difficulty believing they were friendly. I would also be shocked, not so much that they existed but that they managed to get here.

i agree that it would be surprising that they even landed on earth. it would really awaken us on our own intelligence. i would really hope fundamentalists would become disillusioned rather than deeper into denial because it's good to see people learn, not to remain ignorant.

the probability that intelligent aliens are in the universe is really great, and i don't think most people really grasp the reality of the chances of it. religious people should ATLEAST consider it. You cant hide from science and facing it is ultimately the only option.
