I have a retired fellow up the road from me who is constantly doing outside projects. We live in the country and from my water meter to my house is approximately 1/2 mile. All of that piping is my responsibilty if it breaks or leaks. I am sitting at my desk working when I heard a loud noise in my attic. Since I use the area for storage I assumed something had fallen and climbed in the attic to see. Seems my neighbor cut my waterline. Just lovely.

That's not so bad then, just hope it's not too pricey for you to fix!
I live on a small dock with about 12 other people, I'm getting very used to idiot neighbors, very fast!

So where did he cut the line at? I am a bit confused...

Are you not paying attention???

His idiot neighbor was in Fred's attic doing yard work when he knocked something over cutting the 1/2 mile water line...

Sheesh, pay attention

Geez you guys....do you need EVERYTHING explained!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong Fred...;)

It was when he heard the noise in the attic and went to check, he saw out the window (coz you can see from up there) that the neighbour had gone through his water line.

Ok so what then was the noise in the attic?

Some guy breaking a water line down the road a ways is not going to make a noise in an attic.

Frankly I don't give a damn but the explanation is lacking.

Maybe for some there is logic to this but I aint seeing it :p

The pipes enter the house in front of the window at my work desk. They rise up into the attic where the water heater is located. The change in water pressure made the pipes rattle which sounded like something falling.
