I think I'm going to scratch my eyes and nose off!!!!

This allergy season has been murder on me. :mad I have been taking Benadryl like it's candy. And I'm not a gentle sneezer I sneeze and people across the office buzz me and bless me. I am loud and violent.

Anyone else suffering extra this year from allergies?


When I take enuf to really work I fall asleep so in order to work I have to suffer. At least the kleenex at work is free ........

Oh ya, I had it very rough in the spring, runny eyes, sneezing 30+ a day. It's gotten better as the summer has worn on (plus my mom being out of the house with her cigs helps) but I still have BLACK under eye cirlces and sticky AM eyes. Itchy nose too.

SUCKS. I feel ya. Allegra helps, I can't take Benadryl, knocks me out.

Feeling it, but not extra. The symptoms manifest themselves typically when I go back inside after being out.

I usually take cetirizine hydrochloride based tablets to counter that (non drowsy). Only ones that seem to work year on year for me.

Zyrtec works the best for me. Take it in the morning and start off with half of a pill. It does cause a little drowsiness but if you only take half you can fight it with caffeine (my morning coffee usually suffices). If I don't take it my allergies go haywire and I even break into hives.

I've tried many medications b4 and nothing worked. It's good thing Allegra is available over the counter now. Hope you feel better soon *hugs*

I don't know Peter since I don't know what oil seed rape is. But it would be closer to Joe's parents. I might check into the Zyrtec too.

And Porter thanx for the suggestion, I'm pretty sure that would not cure my allergies though......

Looking it up, Zyrtec uses the same ingredient I mentioned so maybe it will help.

Can't hurt to try different ingredients until you find the right one for you.

lol i sneezed on the beach the other day and friends said to me later they had heard me from the other end.24: I don't get allergies thank goodness.:thumbup

I've been suffering since winter. I have not been taking anything for it though. But last night a made a salt, baking soda, and water concoction to drain my sinuses. Didn't do crap. Now, it feels like i inhaled ocean water up my nose and it's all bruised from blowing.

lol, I suffer from hay fever and I am loud when I sneeze aswell. I can't control it to a gentle one. And it is murder trying not too with this nose, as I have to sneeze through the mouth for the next few months. I am worried my nose will drop off if I do hahaha

My allergies drive me crazy too, but I take reactine, I find it works best for me and I'm not sleepy during the day. I hope you're feeling better soon doll....xx
