i was going to take a jog today after my doctor's appointment, but that was before they weighed me in at 118 lbs. i'm 5'10. so i'm going to go cram some eggo waffles down my throat instead.

I agree with the above. My brother and sometimes myself used to have the same problem. Good luck with that ;)

118 @ 5'10" is low, but unless you have a reasonable goal in mind, I wouldn't get too crazy with the weight gain effort.

You're 5 to 8 years behind your metabolism slowing down. When that happens, you will naturally put on some weight. Physically, you're better off as a lightweight though.

If you feel self conscious, and absolutely must put on weight now, I would recommend you do it through growth of heavy muscle. Hit the gym, and talk to a certified trainer. Tell him you want to bulk up, and he will help you build a work out plan to get you there.

You'll need to go to 4000 or more calories a day, but I wouldn't do it the Micky-D way. High protein will help with muscle buildup, but don't go too crazy, because your body can only metabolize so much per day anyway, and too much adds to your colin cancer odds.

Good luck man. If you don't want to go to a trainer, look me up, and I'll help you build a well rounded routine. (I'm not certified or anything, I've just done a lot of lifting in my life) :)
