You could just try uninstalling AIM 6.0 and reinstalling that again. If it continues doing that, it may just be something with that particular version. The weird thing is, I have the same version of AIM on this computer, and I know what you mean, I have the two computers with a red X on them, yet everything is working fine. It may also mean that AIM just isn't aware of wh at connection you're using. If it continues after uninstalling and reinstalling, try using a different version of AIM.

Is AIM still working for you, or is it showing the red X andnot working?

I just uninstalled it and left it and the X is still there, but it was working just fine. I dunno its more annoying than anything I dont like to see red x's on my computer. And it didnt do it with the 5.9 version.

Ah. Well if you're liking the upgraded features, AIM pro has all the same features, it's just different colors, so that may help. You could try using that version, and the X may go away. I understand what you mean, the X gets annoying seeing it there after a while :)

You may have two network adapters in your computer?

Go to My Computer, right click->Properties->Hardware and find where it says Network adapters. Click the plus sign and then look at what you have installed.
