This is where I live and these are the three yards I look after in the summer. My house is located in the stand of trees just above the Red X . It keeps me busy.

That's a lot of grass to mow. Can you get that done in one day? Or do you spread it out over three days?

What you are looking at is an old satellite shot. There is actually another large barn just above the two existing ones so that cuts down on some of the mowing.... but there's still a lot to do. I use two machines to keep up. One is a riding mower to do the grass around the houses and that takes about 8 hours or so. Then I follow it up with a big grass sweeper. There's another 2 or three hours. I have to do that every 4 - 5 days in the beginning of the season and then it tapers down to once a week later in the summer. Every two weeks I attack with a gas weed-whacker what I can't get with the mower. Then there's trees to trim, leaves to blow, blackberry bushes to destroy, stuff to fix, driveways to keep clean etc. Then there's a backpack sprayer I use to kill anything green I don't want growing. There's a lot of that so I can burn up a good week doing that.

What isn't lawn or trees is tackled by a farm tractor with a big deck mower attached. That gets done three times a year and takes about two days. In total I would say there is stuff to do every day and if I leave it too long it's s bugger to catch up. Because of the lousy weather we got in the fall I'm playing catch-up with some of the stuff I couldn't tackle before. I really wanted to take the winter off so I could get rested up for next year. Oh well....

Oh... I almost forgot. I also weed whack and spray a good portion of the all the ditches between the three houses.

All this is done after work hours and on weekends. It didn't leave me much time for photography this year.

I'd attack from the woods. There would be no survivors.
You have to get to the " woods " first. A lot of the property is surrounded by blackberry bushes and those things will rip you to shreds. The main driveway to my yard is secured by a big gate and unless you're a good climber.... and then there's a dog. Jackson is huge and looks very menacing. He's a pussycat though so if you're still in the area after you see him he'll walk with you to the house. :24:

You can't tell from the shot but the place is quite hilly so that presents a few challenges as far as the machinery is concerned.

I love those aerial shots!

The first year that we moved out here to the country.... a guy came by with pictures he had taken from his small airplane of our acreage. We remembered this nutcase flying over our property and wondered what the hell he was doing! :D

I only have 10 acres and that seems like paradise. We have 2 small wooded areas that I just love. So do the deer and other wildlife.

What you have there, Guyzerr.... is definitely paradise.
