Quoted a job middle of last week. Worked up my price and cut it to the bone and quoted the job. The guy e-mails me back and asks for a schedule. I told him 2 or 3 days. He wanted a hard finish date. I told him until I knew when to start I could not give him that. This was all on Friday. Yesterday he e-mails me again asks if I will cut my price by $50 and if he gives me a go ahead when can I finish. I told him Friday unless I got a go ahead fairly early yesterday, I might have him drawings Thursday. I just got an e-mail, telling me my price and schedule was not good enough.

REALLY!!!!!

That's ridiculous if I must say so myself. Being in sales, I completely understand your situation. We find ourselves *facepalming* quite frequently after bid openings.
