I Just had the Most Amazing Encounter at the Gym

I don't even know where to put this...Health and Fitness??? Inspirational??? I have no clue, LOL

As I stepped off my elliptical at the gym this morning I was stopped by a complete stranger who asked me if I was a believer in God. When I told her I was she said that God had told her to do what she was about to do. She asked to hold my hand and she began to pray. She said that she had seen me in the gym for a long time and was overwhelmed and inspired by my discipline and my progress. Then she asked God to continue to use me as a blessing and an inspiration to others. As I sit on my stationary bike reflecting, tears fill my eyes.

So to the lady at Edge Fitness this morning who followed God's direction and stopped me to encourage me and pray w/ me...I don't even know your name, but God blessed me through you this morning and for that, I am thankful.

I'm not even a very religious person. I *do* believe that God exists and I do believe that prayers make a difference...but I've never been a fan of organized religion and can easily count on one hand how many times I've been in church in the past year.

It's funny, though, b/c I certainly don't make a habit of holding hands w/ completely random and very sweaty strangers...but...ugh...I don't even know how to word it. It was just a VERY touching experience (no pun intended, LOL).

LMFAO @ some of the responses. Normally I really WOULD have been creeped out by it. The only way I can explain it is that something just felt "okay" about it. Either way, crazy or not, it was a very moving encounter for me.
