Never know what a night will bring. Our plans were for my wife and me to have dinner with our son in Montgomery, 30 miles away. We meet and have a good meal and a good time. Since we were 5 or 10 minutes from the In-laws we decided to drop by and visit. While there my mother calls me on my cellphone, I can tell she is shaken up. She needs me to come get her because she cannot drive at night. My sister has been in a car accident and is being airlifted to a hospital in Montgomery or Birmingham. I tell her certainly.
We wait to hear if we are going Birmingham or Montgomery. Montgomery is where she ended up. We drive to my Mom and then to the hospital. About 3 or 4 hours later they release my sister and we drive my Mother and sister home. I think we put about 150 miles on the car last night. My sister has no broken bones & no internal injuries. The cause of her accident, she lost control trying to avoid a dog which ran out in front of her. She wrapped her car around a tree driver's side first.
