Well here's what I'm good at. Once I go some place, I can find out where it is on google earth. It's really neat seeing something from overhead, gives ya a different perspective on your surroundings. 
Here's the beach we were at, just north of the pier.

These are the best pics I can do, bear in mind that my camera sucks compared to skyblues... by a long shot... and it's hard to take these and see exactly what I'm getting with tinted sunglasses on. So these are the first time I actually saw the full picture myself. But what a blast it was.

i bet coming out of the sea and getting covered in sand was a shock to the system......its a pain to get off your feet and you seem to feel grains in every pair of socks and shoes you own
Nah I've felt that before, its the same way whether you're coming out of a lake or the ocean really. But we had just bought some new sandals for the beach, and they're still sitting outside. We came back and took showers I don't feel any sand on me.
