as a mail client. It's intergrated into IE so there's no re-downloading is you lose files or it freezes up. I had a com exception, couldn't solve it for days. I installed Mozilla Thunderbird as a client, it is free, it imported all my OE settings, no change of address, works slicker by far the OE. Jim is a happy camper.

I don't mess with pop clients too much. I did use Thunderbird for a minute.

Never learned or bothered to learn how to set it up nor why it has to be that way and the benefits
It's easy and pretty self explanitory. It even has a forum for help if ya need it. If I can do it, YOU can do it....
I never used Outlook Express, but I am using MS Outlook. By far the best e-mail client.
Don't say that until you try Mozilla Thunderbird.
I was using Mozilla, also The bat mail client and few others, MS outlook beats them all...I am not fan of Microsoft, but Office is quite good package...
