I've never thought much of rap "music" either but I bought a CD by Manafest (Christian rap artist) earlier this year and I really like it.

Yes he is.

This kind of rap beats black men calling each other niggers, calling women bitches and **ck this and **ck that IMO.

Then again perhaps Lacrea is just trying to play his market and make his money, would be nice if he was sincere about what he was singing.

Funny, when my one son heard this music, he looked at me wide eyed perplexed, asking me "this is Christian music" LOL

Rap music can be very talented... You're probably thinking about the watered down stuff on the radio. Rap music can be poetry set to drum beats and samples or it can be misogynistic dribble that produces 14 year old mothers with no self confidence and 3 different baby daddy's.

Some rap artists may be talented at say, dancing on stage. But to belt out the lyrics, if it's hip-hop music, isn't hard. Unless you're an old grandmother, it's not hard to rap since all it is is a form of talking, as opposed to good quality singing.
