Get on Do-Not-Call lists
Many states now allow you to sign up for Do-Not-Call lists. Contact your state's attorney general's office or the FTC.
Kentucky residents can click on kyattorneygeneral.com
For the national Do-Not-Call list click on ftc.gov
Write to the Direct Marketing Association
The DMA will put your name on the closest thing to a national do-not-call list. Registration is good for five years. Send your full name, home address, telephone number and signature in a letter to: DMA, P.O. Box 9014, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
