a vet that has pride in america...I'm 1/2 polish and 1/2 czech and own both flags but niether will go above my american flag that I have...I love my heritage so don't take this the wrong way but I'm american and have pride in that too

Plus its got nothing to do with the cloth, but more about what it stands for and what that man put his life on the line to protect. Im not a patriot or anything, I hate our government. But I love my American brothers and sisters.

Certainly you (along with everyone else) doesn't like everything about it, but do you truly hate it? I mean, shit...if that's the case, you need to emigrate to another country. And I'm not preaching the "Love it or Leave it" mentality.

Hell, I love this country. I love the flag and what it stands for, I think we live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The people are a great mix...
but I'm not happy with the government, I cannot convey how much I loath this president and what he is doing to this country. I cannot understand why there are people in this country that still believe in anything he does... but that doesn't take away how I feel about this country and the people who make it home.

I'm not disagreeing its disrespectful, I'm just saying it dosen't really hurt anyone. People who do things like this are just trying to shock and get attention. They remind me of a little 5 year old throwing a tantrum and it's quite pathetic really. The same goes for the flag burners.

Sometimes the best way to deal with attention seekers like this is to ignore them, the're only trying to make a statement and kicking up a huge fuss about it gives them the attention the're craving.

Why would even suggest that he leave? The government is nothing more than our chosen representatives. You don't think we get it wrong from time to time? They are NOT our country, they do not embody what our country stands for. They are only serving us, the people of this country.
This is the reason that impeachment is written into the constitution. So when we do get it wrong, we have means to fix it.

I love my people. My family is here. I can endure it for my family and friends. But yes I truely hate our government. Thats how I feel, I dont know what else to tell you girl. For the record, never tell an American he should leave. Thats a pretty confrontational statement, regardless of how it is used, it still feels like the "love it or leave it mentality."

Dont be sad. Im sure my opinion will change once our government is purged of its evil. Once business and government are split up again and they start paying attention to their own people instead of spending billions on a war to start a democracy in another country. Billions of our tax money by the way. That could be spent to better our schools and hospitals. Maybe open more homeless and battered women shelters. Something for the suffering in our country. I dont know about you, but Im tired of being second best in my own god damned country.
He hates the government... so what? It will be a different government in about a year.
Government does not equal our country. Those two terms are not interchangeable. You can hate one while loving the other without conflict.
