And this is the first time in my adult life that I can say that about a US presidential campaign. Anyone else feel like that ?

It's just another election... We're getting rid of one dipshit and bringing in another. Another candidate that will probably bring false promises and go back on their original campaign.

I am quite troubled at this election, not just because of the particular requirements for someone to actively participate in the running for a chance at the oval office, but more so at the tactics engaged by both parties.

I made a remark about how the party affiliations are going to make a big mess. This election just reeks of it, and I am not looking forward to what lies beyond. I have just about lost any respect for any politician.

I think I have very little to be excited about come November. The guy I'm voting for lets me down on my most important issues, and the guy I'm voting against lets me down on all the rest. :(

Welcome to politics. How would you like your disappointment served?:(

That's almost word-for-word what I was gonna say

pity we're so far away from utopia. let's remind ourselves how much quicker it is for one man like the president to push decisions than it would be for all of us to get together every saturday for pizza and tax cuts.

people can barely get up and vote every 4 yrs, let alone be bothered to pay attention and actively participate in our 'democracy'.

to the o.p., i'm also very excited for this election. it's my first time voting for a presidential canidate, i'm happy to get my feet wet, and i'm hoping the internet bashing of george w. bush translates into more aware voters.

I think everyone should express their dis-interest/concerns in this election and it's participants .. and no one should vote.

That'd be funny as all hell.

Considering as a country (U.S.) we've hit rock bottom in our Presidential choices, there's only one way we can go... ;)

I HONESTLY believe that people are going to show up in HUGE numbers and maybe THAT is what will make the diffrence.

Whatever happens, it will be an improvement. Got to admit, Obama looks like he could change the worlds view of the US, then again, he could just be another Tony Blair there, I'm old and wise enough to still be cynical.

We just won't know for sure until he gets elected.
