stossel is delightful. i watched him years ago not long after some professional wrestler punched him for asking about how fake it was. i've seen him make commentary on politicians in general and doesnt seem to care if they're D or R.

From the article:
Hayek meant that governments can't plan economies without planning people's lives. After all, an economy is just individuals engaging in exchanges. The scientific-sounding language of President Obama's economic planning hides the fact that people must shelve their own plans in favor of government's single plan.

The road to serfdom and be reached in multiple ways. Another is when you let your corporations rule your country making decisions maximizing profits and minimizing people.

Yet another argument that boils down to "people are making decisions I don't like, we've got to stop them."

The only way that happens is with crony capitalism. Without excess gov't power and the crony capitialism it breeds, corporations have no more power than any individual...

Ironically the Supreme Court recently ruled allowing corporations to insert themselves more into national elections than they all ready are.

so you're suggesting the government do it instead? because your argument isnt making sense.

maybe if you pointed out IN ADDITION to government led serfdom there is also corporate serfdom i'd be more inclined to agree with you. but you dont seem to be saying that or you worded your comment poorly. or you think the government should led us into serfdom.

and noone said AFAIK that we should accept corporate serfdom either.

then you should be against government led serfdom but you seem to be about corporate serfdom instead.

or are you NOW concerned about government led serfdom?

you're not making much sense. it's like you're trying to make the two sound separate when they arent by the language you're using. serfdom is serfdom and i'll be damned if anyone leads me down that path, government, corporate or otherwise.

do you not want to put them in the same sentence or what?
