Hummingbirds & Daylilies

My hummingbirds are shy but here a couple of shots from yesterday:

i've got a few day lilies in my garden.....lovely plants

awwwww hummers...wish they would visit my feeder... i've had it hung out there for two years now and not once do i ever get one...BUT they do fly through in early spring long before i have hung it up.....i'll have to try and hang it up earlier next year.

BTW, those lillies are on the endangered list now... some beatle is killing them off....bueaitful flowers

you could be on about the true lilies elsa......the lily beetle is running riot on them

Gotta love hummers. Nice flower as well. Thanks for posting them.

I have me one of those feeders and they won't come near it. I had to dig the old one out of the scrap heap and it works like a charm after I blew all the dust and dirt off.

Um Dollface.... get your feeder up before the hummers arrive. When they find it there is a darn good chance they will stick around for the summer. Our hummers are going through about 4 cups of wonder juice a week. I can't wait for the young to start feeding. Themz a hoot to watch.

Nice shots! The hummers here are just the opposite - aggressive :willy_nilly: One almost mistook my ear for a flower :eek

We have three different colored hummingbirds at our house. The one with the black and red and the brown I got a picture of and a green colored hummungbird. They get real aggressive with each other.
