Just thought I'd ask, what everyone thinks about the 2009 Chevy Camaro ?
Of course if you can't drive, your probably not going to be able to give me an honest opinion on it, but if you can drive, what do you think about it?
Anyone?
Oh, What's that?....You haven't seen it yet? You can't test drive it yet, because it isn't out? Well, my apologies, I suppose no one here can give me any opinions on that particular automobile unless you work for Chevrolet or some exclusive automobile magazine and have actually gotten the opportunity to test drive a 2009 Camaro.
Oh, and if you haven't seen it, heres a preview- http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_sh...amaro_concept/
By now your thinking, "what the hell does this have to do with the Entertainment Forum?"
Just think of SAW IV as that 2009 Chevy Camaro for a minute.
If you check out that link, you will find that unless something drastic happens, Chevrolet will produce the 2009 Camaro. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the 60's era Camaros myself so the idea and the looks of the 2009 model just doesn't sit well with me, probably because I don't think it could ever compare to the 1968 or 1969 Camaro SS versions.
Now, I could find some automotive forums, and complain till I'm blue in the face and my fingers are numb - but I won't. Ultimately I have nothing to complain about since I haven't actually had the opportunity to drive the 2009, I' actually be going into a debate against the idea "ignorant".
Come 2009 I'll take one for a test drive at some point, and then I'll decide if bringing back one of my favorite cars was a good idea or a bad idea.
Now back to movies..
I for one, couldn't begin to imagine how SAW III could be made, and made to make sense. That could be why I'm not a film writer. Saw III did make sense and put together all three films very well in my book.
So how will SAW IV be? Right now, I don't have enough information to make a decision. Should they do it? Whatever I think is sort of irrelevant, there doing it. So my choices are what?
The choices I have are the same as anyones, I could dismiss the idea all together, or I could wait and see what the creators come up with.
If you think SAW IV is going to far, that's certainly your right to do so.
Is it necessary to push the point over on people over and over or get irritated because people don't agree with you? I don't think so.
Everyone's going to disagree on things, and how those disagreements are conducted are just as important as what is actually said.
Ultimately I personally think, if you absolutely hate the idea of SAW IV, hate the idea of new creators/writers and directors and are determined to take a vow never to see it, thats certainly your right to do so. If I had that much hatred for a film, I'd personally go find myself another film to watch, about something I did have interest in because there are still people who are interested in what's going to come next out of the SAW series. People shouldn't have to defend why they would like to see it, or give it a chance every time they post a thought.
If you don't like SAW IV , think of it as that 2009 Camaro - until you can test drive it you can't make an "honest" assessment of it.
Now, please don't get mad, I'm not saying this to anybody in particular. I have just started noticing, and not just here, everywhere else, Myspace as well, people that seem to be trying to make judgments about the movie before it's even out, and I felt like bringing this up.
