One of the most effective ways to stop impulsive spending is to create a clear, realistic monthly budget, and more importantly, stick to it. Your budget should focus only on essential expenses, with specific limits for discretionary items. For example, if you allocate $100 for clothing, don’t spend more than that. Once you've reached the limit, avoid buying more clothes until the next month’s budget cycle. Also, ask yourself: Do I really need another pair of shoes if I already own six?

You need financial discipline to stop impulsive spending.

I stopped impulsive spending by tracking expenses, using a 24-hour rule before purchases, and deleting shopping apps. Budgeting apps also helped. It’s not easy, but awareness is key.
