If you are in a situation where income opportunities are limited, developing new skills can become a wonderful way to improve income. Sometimes even to level up your existing skills and get promotion or get higher position, developing skills become important. The more skills you acquire, the higher your chances of earning a better income and improving your financial situation. But the question is how often do you do it?

I have been developing new skills in my profession. Of late, I have been learning to sew wedding gowns. I have been on it for like five months now. When I finally master it, I want to make different designs of it and be renting out. That would be an extra stream of income for me.

Building new skills reauires time, efforts and resources. It is when you have these three key components that you can be able to learn new skills. At the moment, I don't have time to build one, but what I try to do on a yearly basis is ensuring that I learn a skill before the year runs out as that is a smart way for me to handle things.

Not very often. I tend to focus on refining the skills I already have rather than constantly learning new ones, though I do pick up new techniques or knowledge occasionally when needed.

I try to build new skills whenever I have the time and motivation, usually a few times a year, focusing on areas that interest me or can improve my work and daily life.
