Okay.... Here's how it went...
I arrived to the hospital at 7:15 a.m. Only one person in front of me waiting for testing. I was called to go with the nurse at 7:30 a.m. She was very nice and the same nurse I had last time I went.... about 3 months ago.
We chatted while she did the paperwork prior to the blood draw. About the weather (getting hot and more so for the week to come) and insurance, work, the usual. (Hubby was with me so we couldn't discuss sex per usual. lol)
Anywho.... She let me choose the arm to draw from. And I can't watch so I just looked about the room and watched hubby watch her take my blood. Took several minutes. I was wondering how much she needed and then by the time I was beginning to wonder.... she was finished.
Then.... Get this.... She told me I was dehydrated! Said she really had a time getting my blood. Insisted that I drink a cup of water before I left the hospital. I promised her that we were going to go to breakfast as we had planned and she told me to make sure I drank a full glass of water there too.
I did.
But I had to do some major shopping at Home Depot and Lowe's after breakfast while we were in town. That's when things got icky. We went into Home Depot and were there for maybe 30 minutes before I started feeling really funky.
Did I mention that I am Diabetic?
Anywho.... after pricing some items to comparison shop at Lowe's and paying for my new Star Lily Plant (a beautiful rich purplish red one)... we immediately drove to McDonald's where I bought a large size Sprite. I downed about 1/4 of it and then we went to Lowe's.
Spent about 90 minutes shopping and getting the things we wanted. The store was warm and again.... I was feeling icky.
Got to the car and downed most of the now warm Sprite (yuck!) and headed back home. I drank a glass of water and sat in the air conditioning and took a nap. I'm now feeling much better.
