How do you Save People in Your Phone?

A rep I got today reminded me of this.

I have all the police officers saved by their unit number followed by their name (sounds anal, I know, but it makes it a lot easier to find them in a pinch...ESPECIALLY if I'm working a detail out in the field where we might need to communicate by cellphone).

I have one friend that I finally changed...for the longest time I had him saved as "Farva" b/c he looks like the Farva character from Super Troopers (technically he was in as "228 Farva" since he was an officer).

I have one guy saved as "CREEP - DO NOT ANSWER!!!" and one woman (my bestfriend's ex) saved as "PSYCHO - DO NOT ANSWER!!!" Oh, and for a long time I had my friend, Mark, saved as "Dirty Dirty Pig." :24:

And there's one person saved by their name which is then followed w/ the little broken heart symbol.

Most are saved by nicknames....'shooter' for my best drinking buddy, 'the man' for, well...the man, 'lesbo' for a good friend in Toronto, not sure why, but we call each other that.

Their first name for the most part.. but if they have several numbers I have them in as say.. C's house or C's cell or C's work

I had to look...the ex is 'rockhead', my niece is 'siobhanrammadingdong', 'prick' for someone that annoys the fuck out of me....some are normal, but most are descriptive.

I use to have 'the cable guy' because he was just like Jim Carrey in that movie. Apparently his phone would ring and he'd call me to see if I called, he'd say "I was in the bathroom and thought I heard it ring", ummm....hellooo call display.

I knew 3 Daves...one wa 'hot sex', one was 'meh' and one was 'no sex'. Damn...my life was much more interesting a few years ago.

:fing27 I don't save people by first and last unless I have more than one person w/ that first name. One thing I *hate* about my phone is that it combines similar contacts. I have called the wrong "Donald" twice in one day b/c it combines "Don" w/ "Donald" and won't let me see which contact is which!!!

This is one thing I *love* about my phone. No more doing that...you have slots for all kinds of numbers, e-mail addresses, and URLs!!!

For the most part I have first names, some have last names too if I don't talk to them that often or if there are more than one person with the same first name. I have one person by their nickname and that is because her nickname is NOTHING to do with her first name. Her name is Lynsay and I call her Oscar The Grouch (Oscar T Grouch in my phone book and Oscar to her face).

Oh, and I have my co-workers w/ rank saved by rank and last name...except for V, she's still just in as "Veronica." :24:

I usually use people's names.

before i went through my phone and deleted most of my numbers I had a:
PERV - IGNORE
Ginger Cuntbag
Agri Fishpools (I got this number when I was drunk. His name was Chris and I don't know where the Fishpools bit came from)

Just their names really, if there are more than one (like I have two Beth's) it's the first letter of their surname added.
