Writer’s block happens to all people who write, both as a hobby or as a profession, and it is more common in people writing as a profession. When it hits, you need to step away, and not force yourself. A walk, a movie, or even a nap can reset your creativity. Forcing yourself to work when you don’t want to often leads to low-quality work. How do you handle a situation like this?

When I hit writer’s block, I step away briefly, sometimes a walk or music helps. I also freewrite without judgment to get ideas flowing again. Changing my environment or reading something new sparks creativity. Taking pressure off lets ideas come naturally.

Walking helps me get ideas. Some of my best ideas came while I was walking
