With the possibility looming that the GOP nominee may be Mormon and with what the Bible says about false prophets a preacher posed this question:

Can you imagine reading in Chronicles and Kings, that there was a new King in Judah, who listened to false prophets, but since he was coming from the private sector and he knew how to create jobs, God was blessing him with peace and prosperity?

I don't think the USA is ready for a Mormon president Yet. But times are changing. Maybe Romney will have a chance in a couple more terms.

People don't care if he's Mormon anymore. But the analogy is a little off, imo. He's not the king of Judah, rather he wants to be Caesar.

That would be Matthias Klein who also deems our revolution for independence as evil:

Part 1 sets up his argument

Part 2 is his target

I don't realy care what religion a president is.This country has freedom in relegion right?
Probably if Gingrich marries an arab woman he will turn to the muslim faith as he has proven not to have such a good record of it when it comes to that.

I think you two are more open minded than many Americans. As far as I know, Abraham Lincoln was the last non-Christian US President. Many Americans don't think Mormons are Christians. A recent Gallup poll reported 24% of Americans would not vote for a Mormon president. Compare that to only 5% who wouldn't vote for a black president or 11% who wouldn't vote for a woman. I predict a Mormon will be president before a homosexual or atheist though. 43% of Americans wouldn't vote for a homosexual and 53% wouldn't vote for an atheist.

I am not more open minded than you are.I just grew up in different cultures and was born in Europe.
In my view USA has a system were people vote on a person and not a party what is the oposite from were I come from.
For example in the Netherlands if you are a Christian or any other relegion you can have or make your own party to vote for.
If you become the biggest party with the most votes you will have the right to deliver a prime minister whom will make a coalition government unless they are so big that they can do it on there own.Party policies are more importants than the person or leader and policies will be determend at the parties conventions and all politicians has to stick to those policies put in place by there members. Also those politicians are chosen by there members at a convention and only members can vote them in power. Not a country as a whole.
