English language is one of the international languages and used in most countries especially by those who are foreigners there and this shows how important is learning English language.
I learnt English language at school.

Learnt English language right from my nursery classes as the country that I come from is an English colony which is something we can not run from or change even though I personally would have loved to be making use of my own language than English all the time in my communication with people in my country.

out of my mom's tummy...spoke it as if i was born in the USA, oh....I was, so...yeah, but English is a hard language can understand the difficulty, Being deaf in my left ear since the age of two, I had to go through speech therapy for twelve years to learn how to properly speak.

I'm deaf in my left ear too :O
I was born this way though. Speech therapy for half my life as well. Still can't do the "R"s that well

Speaking not a problem i do have an accent (not a bad one as everyone can not point where i am from ) but i understand well and have no problem with speaking.
writing is my bigger problem, i know a lot more but seems i can not put together what i want and end up using more simple words when i know much more . I learn to write from visit forums mostly
I do live in Australia for many years now so yeah was natural to learn but took me longer as i was mostly alone most of the day and no one to practice and people around me laugh at me so made me more shy to speak i was not working so this made it worse

I only learn English when I'm at school. But it seems that what I learned during that time is not really needed now. As long as we can chat and connect using English, that's enough. LOL

if you do not mind me asking as i know there are way too many like Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and many more

Yesh we have our local dialect, mine is Efik. This is one of the popular dialect though not among the major dialects

I learn English at school. Students here start learning English at primary school. Hong Kong was a British colony before 1997. All students were required to learn English.

since English is not my first language, I learned it from Junior High School until now, I still remember English was one of my favorite subjects at school and I took several courses after that I learned English by myself, watching movies with English subtitles and of course watching FRIENDS, an American sitcom that I always watch and make me realize that my English is improving and now I am really confident talking with people on several forums without doubting myself anymore
