I find the entire Britney situation so, so sad.

She started out on the Mickey Mouse show when she was just a wee little thing.

I believe that children in the industry grow up FUBAR unless they have a parent who keeps tabs on each and every thing. And it seems most of the parents of these 'celebrity' kids are more interested in gaining their own fame and fortune than protecting their children.
Britney, Lindsey Lohan and a few of the other hollywood "It girls" were just chucked to the wolves when they were all of about age 12.
