We rented the first one and once we realized it was nothing but a gore fest we turned it off.

I don't have a problem with horror movies - but they need to have a story to them. Like Aliens, The Shining, The Thing, etc. ... I don't like to watch gore to just watch gore if you know what I mean.

I am the exact same way. I could not watch hostel all the way through either.
Give me a good ghost or zombie story anytime.

it was the humour in number one ,and the girls getting back at the bad guys in number two.
i much prefer them to saw ,now those are gorefests

we watched Saw 3 this weekend I kinda liked that too. I guess you have to be into that type of thing and know what youre getting into when you start. The Hills Have Eyes that was gorefest maybe a little to much for me but the others didnt bother me so much

believe it or not i think hostel was more psychological than anything.......well think about it........as the world is today.......if your rich enough and want something you can get it somewhere.......it might not be slovakia but its somewhere

i liked the tatto too ,i keep looking for them.

maybe social comment,if you look at the trafficing into sex slavery from the eastern block to here.only a matter of time before you can buy a human to kill.
