If you offer me a beverage with HFCS in it.... I'm gonna assume that means you want to be my enemy.

And if I offer you a beverage sweetened with all-natural stevia, it means I care.

(and that I want you to know I'm pretentious)

I know, right?

Getting people off HFCS is harder than getting people to change their religion 'round here. As a kid, I waged war on sweet tea (which for a Southerner is pure blasphemy), and I got my immediate family to drop it... it took until just a couple a years ago to get them on the Whole Foods bandwagon. But now if you go over to my parents house, all they serve is organically-grown from sustainably harvested, fair-trade producers... well, maybe not fair trade all the way, but some of it is. ;)

ok ok i hear you on this

but you peaked my nerve with whole foods

c'mon - not all whole foods merchandise is healthy or organic

you can go into regular grocery stores and get just as healthy and organic things as you can at whole foods...though they do have way better meat

i live in the south...in case you didn't see my avatar...and it is hard to a degree to eat healthy, but on the other hand it has always been easy to eat fresh - you know what i mean?

we always have fresh produce and juice around.

the other day i bought wheat thins - the have high fructose corn syrup in them! :yuk

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not a Whole Foods zealot or anything; absolutely you can eat fresh from even a Wal-Mart....

It's just part of the pretentiousness. ;)

See, I wish I could eat fresh food, but seeing as I am not the bread winner of the household, I don't have that much of a say in what groceries are bought.

It's hard to avoid HFCS, it is really in just about everything..Even rice cakes. . .Why do rice cakes need sweetening?

As for sweet tea. ..it can be made with sugar, and a little sugar in your diet is not bad at all.
