I've been here for a couple of days already, but I've never introduced myself properly. I'm 33 years old, married and live in Berlin - we moved here from Honolulu earlier this year. I'm working as a web developer and I'm also working toward a bachelor's degree in Computing and IT.

If you have any questions, don't be shy! :D

Oh wait...I have a question or two! Were you born in Honolulu? I was there and it's so beautiful. How are you liking living in Germany?

I was born here in Germany but my mother is from the US. I lived most of my life in Germany (Munich) and about ten years ago my wife and I started travelling for a couple of years. Was a great time, we saw some nice places and met great people. Then four years ago we moved to Hawaii, where my mom lives. Hawaii is great we totally loved it there but it can also get a little boring after a while - so we decided to move to Berlin. I can tell you that we both miss the beaches and the weather ;)

Well... it's not sooo different. Some laws a bit different here, you are allowed to drink beer from age 16, you get your drivers licence at 18 (you need to take 40 hours practice and 10 hours theory - which costs about $3,000), gun licence is very hard to get. Good things in Germany would be the 26 days of paid vacation per year, health care system is quite good, the autobahn :D. And the politicians here are the same as everywhere else :willy_nilly:.
