My garage roof fucking sucks. When it rains, my garage is soaked. I'm not going to have the money to be able to reroof or water proof it until next here, is there anything I could do to at least keep my tools and car dry? plastic? or anything like that? I mean I can get a ladder and try to put something up there to keep it from soaking everything in the garage without having to lay plastic over my bench and everything else.

I know not even a temp fix is going to be cheap, but anything is better than nothing.

can you tell where it is leaking, or how big the holes are? I'd start with some roof cement. Have someone inside pointing out the holes with a stick (if they can be seen). It's a cheap temporary fix.

take a tarp and throw it over the peak to where it leaks. tie some 2 litter jugs full of water to the eyelets in it to hold it down. Better to do this when its no raining because it sucks to do in the rain.....trust me on that one.

If you dont do something about it you are gonna have more problems than a leak... the water will rot all of your decking out and allso it will start roting your rafters and sutch so better get something done about it.

It leaks throughout the ENTIRE garage. It's not just one hole, it's the entire garage.

It looks like it's shingled -> board -> rafters -> inside insulation.

I haven't gotten up on a ladder (because I don't have one tall enough here) to look at it.

When I got it inspected, the guy said it'd be wise to replace it in the next 1-2 years. After the first rain I found out why.
