My mother turns 85 on Sunday. She is in a wheelchair. I expect she will never walk again. She lives with my sister. They are co-dependent. I went over Wednesday and built ramps to help my mom get in and out of the house. Nothing special about them except it helps her leave the house.

I’ve always helped my mother whenever she needed support, whether with daily tasks or just being there for her emotionally. It feels natural to assist her because family means a lot to me, and I want to make her life easier and happier.

Helping my mother brings me joy. Whether it’s running errands, cooking together, or just keeping her company, I feel grateful to support her. It strengthens our bond and reminds me how much she’s done for me.

My mother and I live separately, but sometimes I go and live with her for a few days. When I go to live with her, I help with chores and even take her to errands or even hospitals, if needed.
