Basically I'm planning on buying my Mum an MP3 player for christmas... dont' worry, she said she wanted one, it isn't me buying a rubbish gift, haha. I cant really see her ever use it so wasn't looking to spend alot, but on the other hand she may suprise me and use it 3 or 4 times a week, so dont want some rubbish which will fall apart quickly. So was looking for a few suggestions if possible? Memory doesn't have to be that big, she'll want no more than 50 songs on there really.

£30-50 budget I reckon, because I have already brought her a few little things.

Well, I highly recommend the Zune player. It might be slightly out of your price range, but it runs smoothly, it works well with Windows computers since it's a Microsoft device, and the program that runs on the computer is great. If you're looking for something cheaper, I can't really make a suggestion. I just give my personal endorsement to the Zune. :)

Why settle for Zune instead of just getting an iPod shuffle??? It's only 2G and it's super small. Runs $46 at Wal-mart or $49 online through the Apple store. Also, I don't know if they still do it but when I ordered the iPod nano for my niece and nephew through the Apple store they did laser engraving on the back for free.

Well thanks guys :) didn't expect so much feedback, I'll price the 3 of 4 models mentioned, compare some reviews (Cause I'm all about the reviews) and base my purchase on that.
