Hello All,
I am brand new here. Just started today. I am 33, married and have 2 wonderful boys (13 & 11). We just moved to California from Tucson, Arizona about a month ago. We are in a small town in California and everyone is so nice here. Back in Arizona I was working as a teacher assistant in a self contained classroom for emotionally disabled students, working Sundays at a church in the toddler room, and working part time at my boys' school in after-school.
Since the move, I now stay at home with my boys while they wait for seats to open at the charter school they are enrolled in. For now they are attending school from home in their independent study program. This has been a little challenging for my boys and for me. We are not used to this type of schooling for them so it is taking some getting used to and some readjusting. I am used to the distant learning myself as I attended college online. I am almost done with my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and plan on continuing my education in the field of child psychology.
