I haven't seen it Minor! But I'm interested in seeing Hellboy 2, because well, it looks interesting and honestly... it'll help finance whatever masterpiece del Toro does afterwards.

Edit: Oh wait... his next movie is apparently the Hobbit. Ew.

Ron Pearlman made the original. USA Today ran a feature on the movie this week. Del Toro made a comment that PG 13 monsters are very different than R rated monsters in that PG 13 monsters are more representative man's strengths, weaknesses, and moral choices.

"Hey I'm on your side!" Hellboy.
"Sure", says the conductor as he raps him on the head with a fire extinguisher, knocking him off the train.

Trivia:
Although 'Abe Sapien's voice in Hellboy (2004) was dubbed by David Hyde Pierce, David refused a credit because he felt that Abe was entirely Doug Jones creation and did not wish to detract from his performance...

Yeah saw it last night as well. Really loved it.

One thing I like about Hellboy is that it is different from the other comic book movies, is that it feels like a comic book. I love all comic book movies, but ones like Iron Man, Spiderman, Batman, and the such, all are set in a very real world. Hellboy though is set in a fantasy world more so than the others.

I hope thats not too confusing lol.

I love how del Toro doesn't just rely on CGI. Not many people still using animatronics, and actual full body costumes today.

Take me with Minor.

More than happy too if it was not for some physical location issues. ;)

Ok, saw it. Hmm. Not as good as the first, not all that great a story. The original was sharp, this was muddled. In some ways it's all most as if another director directed. I saw a lot of Pan's Labyrinth seep in when it came to creatures. As I did not read the original comic, I don't know if this is good or bad but it seems like a departure from the original. Overall, decent entertainment but a let down imo.
