Hey, I don't believe that this is just the fault of religious people, but even regular non-denominational and sensationalist people are promoting this conumdrum. How can you predict when the world will end? Are you the one who created this that we are living in?

Um…since we're now in 2013, aren't these people full of s***?

Thought the world was going to go in 2012 as well.

FACT is, given time, our planet is going to die and none of us can stop that.

Yeah, 2012 was supposed to be the year. But whatever, if it ends it ends. I'd rather us all go together.

Some people would always believe one bogus story or the other based on one conviction or the other which I can't really blame them for. However, it's our own choice to choose what to believe; I can't tell you that the world would end or not but one thing I like to believe is, even if the world would eventually end, I would have been long gone from this world. Of course, with my dreams achieved. Hahaha!

If the planet wrote a book we might listen

It has written a book, it's called geology:tooth

Problem is on our end, the planet is slower than Caribbean time;)

I do give good odds that the destruction of the earth as we know it will come from human hands.

The planet will die, no doubt in that. The answer of the question when lies in the unknown, though. All those predictions made by whoever are nothing more than some advertising campaign and something to freak people out. There's a huge number of ways people can profit off in case the general public believes that in say six months the world will end.

I heard the world would end in 2000 due to the "millennium bug". Due to the year being "00" it was said computers wouldn't be able to handle it and would go into meltdown, that's what I heard anyway but in 1999 there was a report on the news almost weekly about how an asteroid was going to hit our planet. To be honest it scared the bejesus out of me as a kid but now I just laugh at it. If the world ends it ends at some point it ends, lets hope we all go out in style.

The end of the world things have been around since the beginning of the world, practically. Unless I have some solid evidence (a meteor headed right for us), I don't think it's going to end in our lifetimes.

No one can predict when the world's going to end. It could be today or tomorrow, but when it happens it happens. I don't think we will get any warning when it happens. I know that the world will end eventually, I just hope I am not around when it happens.

The world will constantly be coming to it's end. I mean, it's predicted! Over and over and over and over again and one of these days it will be true and someone will find a book it was predicted in with a very short, vague passage written in a dead language that can be translated in about 40 billion different ways. Jesus has been around the corner since forever as well. It's all so convenient and unfortunately will never end. Apparently we're so important that the entire universe was made just for us.. we might as well be so important it will end for us as well.. in OUR time.. every single year of every single century of every single...

Yeah.. not happening.

These beliefs are being promoted by devout fanatics who I consider to be more delusional. First of all, this is all a waste of time, as they are seeking to grab attention for themselves. They can claim they know the future, but it is all word of mouth. People who are weak of mind are easily fooled by these deluded fanatics. After all, the freedom to believe includes the freedom not to believe in God or any dogma promoted by some religion.

These prediction are really lame. The millennium bug was supposed to stop all electronics from working but that never happened. 2012 was supposed to see huge earthquakes and volcanoes erupting - that never happened. When is the next prediction from these 'prophets of doom'?
