Normally when asked about razors this is what comes to mind...
These razors work on the principles of Hysteresis. Normally this refers to magnets but in shaving terms it means it "cuts" by getting your hair and "YANK!-hack.YANK!-hack.YANK!-hack" ... :thumbdown
Not only does this create conditions ripe for ingrown hairs and unnecessary razor burn but the razor blade replacement heads cost a mint!
What happened to wet shaving? It was almost replaced by canned goo and disposable and electric razors.:eek
But there is hope! True wet shaving is coming back and there are several great brands on the market today.
Just recently I picked up a Merkur #41 Open Comb DE razor( more commonly known as the "Merkur 1904") and so ended my search for a much more comfortable, cheaper, and smoother shave. For $25 and about 15-20 cents per blade it's amazing the kind of results that can be achieved. Sometimes old technology does the deed better than any new fangled 8-blade or electric face-grader can. :thumbup
