I always read feedback that most people this time suffer a complicated relationship. The question is, why do they suffer when they are the captains of their decisions. If you are in a complicated relationship, why not talk to your partner to settle the cause of the complication and if there's no chance to repair your relationship, fine, you can find another. That is the solution. Make that complicated relationship simple by calling it quits. I was in a complicated relationship but I told the guy he doesn't have the right to torture me. I told him to go on his way as I go mine. Period.

I have never been into any kind of complicated relationship. My relationships have always been straight forward.

I am thankful that the important relationships in my life are not complicated at present. I try my best to keep things simple and sustainable. But I have been through some phases in my relationships that got complicated because of some miscommunication and misunderstanding. Glad that both parties were keen to talk and clear up the air. We kept our precious relationship above the misunderstanding.

Haven't we all? I believe relationship issues are bound to happen at least once in our lifetime. I count it as an experience that allows me to do better in my next relationship. If I see that my relationship with someone is not going as desired, it is best to end it, so we don't waste each other's time.

No relationship will stay simple and smooth throughout. And that's a sign of healthy relationship. Situations in life change and it does impact the relationship. As long as one keeps the honesty intact and communication open, relationship will get back to track. When to give up and how long to hold on??...no outsiders can give an answer to that. It's your decision and your decision will weigh so many things.
Many a times, a simple problem gets complicated because of lack of communication. If things are resolved in time, things don't get so complicated.

No, I don't have any complicated relationship in my life. I know how difficult is it to live with that relationship. I always like to keep all my relationships with people as simple as possible

In my therapy sessions, I come across people unhappy in their relationships( it includes all kinds of relationship and not only of couples). And I have found that the reasons behind the relationships getting sour and too complicated are unrealistic expectations, failed communication, trying to change the real core of the other person, blame game and a very loose personal boundary or even failing to respect other's boundaries.

This is because these days people lack patience and tolerance , they don't want to listen to others and believe they are always right and try to prove others wrong even they know that they themselves are wrong.

You have some valid point there. We are living in instant times. Instant food, instant gratification, instant solution.....that's the fast paced digital culture has got into young people. Expectations are built not from witching people around but more from those from social media platforms. They don't want to live with a problem and accept it. Not everything can be fixes, this generation wants a quick fix solution. They keep their options open and are always for lookout for better options.

The kind of person that I am, I don't like stress in my life. When a relationship becomes complicated, I always walk away. A girl I dated had an STI while I was free, she couldn't explain. I just had to leave the relationship.

Yes, I’ve experienced complicated relationships. Unclear communication, differing expectations, and emotional baggage can make things messy, and navigating them requires patience, understanding, and sometimes stepping back to maintain your own well-being.

I have noticed that children coming from a broken home, negligent parenting or any other childhood trauma develop a trust issue in the relationships that follows in later years of their lives. They either become too giving or become too controlling. They fear the loss and do everything possible to make their relationships work. Too much giving drains them emotionally and too much controlling drains the other.
