I was watching a portion of the Barbara Walter interview with The President and The First Lady the other night. It was seeing Michelle and noting how very attractive she appeared and how trim her waistline is that prompted my thread about Mrs. Obama's posterior. I watched the interview segment where Mrs. Obama talked about putting herself first and I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was admirable and I envy her ability to do so having been raised as a child under the acronym J.O.Y-Jesus, Others and You, which emphasized putting myself last as a condition of godliness which I tend to do to this day to my own detriment. I think Mrs. Obama's approach is far more healthy in that if you take care of yourself, you are better able to care for others.
This morning, I clicked this Drudge Link Michelle: 'Practical' To Put Myself Highest On My Priority List... knowing that somehow the spin would not be in favor of The First Lady by the way the word "practical" was punctuated. Barbara Walters had even asked her if that approach was "selfish: and Mrs. Obama defended her position well.
So, I'm thinking what fault can anyone find in this? But then, I click on comments and hoooo-boy!
Really? Is there nothing good and right about these people just because they have a different political ideology. For heavens sake! She sends a simple message....take care of yourself so you can better care for others. I hope the women of America will pay attention to her! I think I'll go get a pedicure, dammit! I've had one in 46 yrs.

interview said:Barbara Walters, ABC News: "Mrs. Obama, you've recently said something that I thought was very interesting for other women to hear. You said 'you put your own self highest on your priority list.' That sounds selfish?"
Michelle Obama: "No, no, it's practical. It's something that I found I needed to do for quite some time, even before the presidency. And I found it other women, in similar situated balancing career family, trying to do it all and a lot of times we just slip pretty low on our own priority list because we're so busy caring for everyone else. And one of the things that I want to model for my girls is investing in themselves as much as they invest in others."
Walters: "So what do you do?"
Obama: "Make sure I get my exercise in so I work out as much as he works out."

There are over 170 comments now and so far, I haven't found one complimentary but I have noticed (and didn't til this very minute) that a lot of the comments have come from men. The 2nd and last comment I posted come from the same man. I know women reading his last comment know exactly why!!!!She must be an unconscionable ballbuster. I actually feel bad for Barack today to live with this spoiled woman.
Scary isn't it? This woman is an embodiment of all the bad qualities that a person can have. I'm not sure though that being spoiled is her problem the more that I think about it. It's starting to look like the problem is a sense of resentment. I know that's correlated closely with being spoiled, but I think that she's just shamelessly taking from others because she feels like they don't deserve her efforts. She seems like a really bitter person.
She looks like one too. She has a perennial angry look, even when she's smiling it looks like a grimace, not a smile. That woman is completely foul and vile.
Where have we heard that before?
Oh, yeah! Kim Jong-Il, who "worked himself to death" for the North Korean people!
No matter where they are, Marxists always tell the same lies.
Yep, teach your Children to TAKE, TAKE, TAKE too. I wonder what you will do after 2012 when you don't have the Taxpayers $$ to spend on "Yourself".
You will never, ever hear a man rationalize his difficulty balancing his career with his personal life by saying something as selfish as this. Sounds like half the women out there that I know. This isn't news. Just another selfish brat. Move along...
