Anyone heard any good buzz about this? It premiers on 28 April ABC. I've got to watch at least the first show. Happy town is not supposed to be all that happy...

So glad you asked... It's a play on names based in Haplin, Mn, I imagine a made-up town, but a town that is not so happy for some sinister reasons. If you want to know more-> DesertNews.com.

Well, it was interesting but did not set me on fire.
Spoiler follows: A couple of strange things happened. The setting is in Haplin, Minnesota, which just so happens to be filmed in Ontario, Canada. The town at one point had a serial killer they dubbed "the magic man" because for about 10 years, one person a year disappeared, completely. He made them disapear, "like magic". People say this not because there is evidence of magic, just that he did such a good job of getting rid of them. The show opens with a murder in an ice house (for lake fishing in the winter), where a guy gets a chisel driven through his head. Then the sheriff starts acting all weird speaking of a Cloey. Just so happens a Cloey is in town staying at a boarding house. The boarding house rule is don't go on the 3rd floor. At the end of this episode the Sheriff goes off the deep end hurting himself severely and Cloey is seen heading up to the 3rd floor.

I've seen 3 episodes and it's just not clicking for me. I missed last night's episode. Maybe it's me... Anyone loving this show?

I absolutely love this show so far. Unfortunately, after 8 episodes the show is going to be canceled. Maybe they will decide to keep it, but I think it's confirmed that they will be canceling. Don't fret though, we will find out who the Magic Man is before the series ends completely. I look forward to Wednesday nights & I am definitely looking forward to this week's episode.
Who do you think the Magic Man is? There are a few obvious characters, but I really think it's someone we'd least expect it to be.

When I last watched I really had no one in mind as a likely candidate, but I think a lot has happened since I last saw it.

No hope will not be canceled, i like this show .. maybe not the best but i like the mystery and trying to guess who is the killer . it is simple and different ... actually remind me a little about Harper's island..

So, Happy Town has for sure been canceled by ABC & the last two episodes were pulled from the network & can be watched on ABC.com or Hulu. Did any one see the last two episodes? I did & I am not happy with how the show ended. I was just as confused as ever.

I liked the first episode, but neither the characters, the actors who played them, nor the execution of the story clicked for me.

I watched today the last 2 ..
I was not confused i think if it did continue the show will be they give up a lot in the last 2
anyway was good .. not the best series but better then other crap that is on tv
