Always looked at Memorial Day as a day of remembrance, nothing to happy about it.

That's exactly how I think of it too. My Dad served so I'm well aware of what this day is about. People shouldn't judge so quickly. However, today is also a day to celebrate those who are currently serving. I meant to post this one before also. I don't know what happened on why it didn't post.

Sad to say, Memorial day has absolutely nothing to do with those currently serving, unless you want it to be.

That would kind of be like celebrating Jesus's resurrection during Christmas, or if you're not religous, like giving easter egg candy out under the Christmas tree.

For those who have served and are living, you have Veterans day.

Apologies, not trying to have anything become a controversy. Only trying to educate you on the differences in Holidays. For myself, both holidays are important.
