I would suggest Grave Encounters 2.
Although I didn't like the ending, the film is pretty scary, lots of suspense and breath-taking scenes where you and your friends are going to have a tough time. :thumbup

Trick 'r Treat is a classic, it's anthology movie taking place on Halloween, so it works. I love Cabin in the Woods, but I don't know if it's a "Halloween" kind of movie, it's an amazing movie though. I've never seen any of the Grave Encounters movies either.

It isn't necessarily a Halloween movie exactly, but Hobo With a Shotgun is so over the top with its bad acting and crazy violence, that I end up suggesting the dang thing to just about anyone who will listen. It's a golden piece of So Bad It's Good fiction.

All the old classics of course. As for newer movies, I thought The Conjuring was pretty good. May watch that again tonight.

Some distinctive movie for Halloween are: Sleepy Hollow (1999), Halloween (1978), Night of the Living Dead, Beetlejuice, Saw and Nosferatu. All are terrifying, I guarantee.

My all-time favorite horror movie is The Blair Witch Project. I don't find most horror movies very scary because they're too obvious; when all the gore and scary killers are shown in front of you then it takes away from the horror in my opinion. What I love about Blair Witch is the subtlety; the horror comes from what you're not shown. It's one of the few movies to ever scare me.

The sequel was terrible though.

I just watched The Conjuring tonight. I thought it was alright. I would prefer a documentary as opposed to what I got but I knew what I was getting before sitting down. A 'based on a true story'. I am being convinced to watch Dead Alive by someone in the next ten minutes. Seeing as I enjoyed Bad Taste and have never seen this I will begrudgingly enjoy it I'm sure. Happy Halloween!

I saw the Blair Witch Project in the theaters. There's a shortcut I usually would take to get back home from the theater that goes through a small section of woods. That night I couldn't bring myself to take the shortcut. I'm not superstitious or anything. But, that movie really did get into my head that night :) great movie.

Oh yeah...The Blair Witch Project freaked me out! I saw it at home but I had the house completely dark except for the TV. Yup, freaked out with that one.

I would recommend you too watch Trick r' Treat, I rented it just for fun some years ago and it ended up being one my favorite Halloween movies since then. I watch it every year normally with different people and everyone loves it. One obvious recommendation is Halloween, I guess it just fits the date other than that I would recommend you to watch "Nightmare on Elm Street" or "Friday 13th" awesome all time classics.

I recently saw Curse of Chucky. Not something i highly recommend but it was an ok movie. Not terrible but not brilliant either. Had a few scary moments and was good to see chucky again. If you do see it make sure you watch the credits too as the best part of the film is at the end after the credits roll. I won't spoil it for you, but you can google it if you like spoilers.

I would suggest Event Horizon, The Thing, and The Ring. These are some really good horror movies that I enjoy watching. I also think you should check out the movie Mama. That was a good one too.

I suggest watching a movie out of the Halloween series. The Halloween series is the best scary movie series to me, I absolutely love watching Micheal Myers do work lol.
